Stevens Enterprises is unique in that I am a hands on contractor. I do one job at a time until complete. If hired, I will be on your job site until it is finished; either doing the work directly or supervising sub-contractors. All of my sub-contractors are close associates whom I have know and worked with for years.
My grandfather was an Los Angeles fireman and master carpenter and my dad was an Los Angeles fireman and a general contractor specializing in plumbing and electrical. So I grew up on the job sites and learned a high quality work ethic. After going to SDSU for a degree in Business Administration, I realized that there was no way I could sit behind a desk the rest of my life. So I started a small furniture company, then was hired by a custom furniture shop to be the shop foreman. After two years of running a shop and basically being a babysitter, I decided I wanted to get back to building, and started Stevens Enterprises as a custom cabinet and furniture shop. I ran and operated Stevens Enterprises for fifteen years with a C6 Custom Cabinet and Millwork contracting license. Six years ago after an extensive addition on my own home, and the purchase of two other properties, which I completely remodeled and put an addition and second story on one, I decided to get my general contractor license.
My aim is to be of service to my clients and give them the personal attention they deserve. All of my work in the last twenty-plus years has been through word-of-mouth, direct referral and repeat business. Stevens Enterprises has never advertised and we pride ourselves on our craftsmanship and quality work brought in on time and on budget.
